Pure and simply good kitchen design

Our clients had been remodelling their house to create a series of beautiful spaces, including an extension to the kitchen and dining area, resulting in a lovely large open space with excellent views to the garden.

To emphasise the light and openness of the room they wanted a white minimal kitchen, making good use of the space, but without dominating it. They also wanted to have a very functional kitchen, with plenty of preparation space and top quality appliances.

Working with bulthaup Winchester the kitchen was designed to have a deceptively simple look. The island is handle free, and the necessary handles for the big fridges in the tall run are slim, minimal, and horizontal. As with all bulthaup units the flat doors maintain the sleekness.

An interesting feature of this kitchen is the individually designed suspended ceiling above the island, which almost hides the extractor and at the same time houses the down lights that illuminate the work surface.

Within the dining area a 'floating' sideboard of units continues the simplicity across the room and sets off some of the clients' artwork perfectly.

The ovens, hob and warming drawers are all from Miele. The sink and tap are also from bulthaup. Lighting was designed by the client.
